Atapa 1.0

  • Warms and dims the screen from 6500K to 500K through the evening.
  • Readable red: blue and green are folded into red, so text and links stay visible at 500K.
  • Setup is one question: when do you usually go to bed? Sunset comes from your time zone.
  • Three intensities: Gentle (1900K), Warm (1200K) and Deep red (500K).
  • Works on M5 Pro and M5 Max MacBook Pros through the display pipeline, where gamma-table apps do nothing.
  • Dims below the lowest brightness step; the brightness keys can drive it.
  • Shortcuts actions, a Focus filter, a URL scheme and a command line.
  • Eye rest, opt-in: every 20 minutes the screen eases down for 20 seconds.
  • Tonight's ring: an estimate of the body-clock light your screen gave off this evening.
  • A guard process resets the screen if Atapa ever quits unexpectedly. ⌃⌥⌘⌫ always restores true color.
  • No account, no analytics, no network code.
  • Licence: 14-day trial, then the full app with a banner for 14 more days; from day 29 warmth stops at 2700K until a key is entered. It never stops working.
